Post-Easter Fun with Grandma

Since Grandma and Grandpa spend Easter in Grand Rapids with the Sytsma's, we had a little Easter Egg decorating with Grandma after Easter. It's so fun to decorate eggs. The boys just love it. Grandma likes the painting part too!!
Mason was really into it this year, notice he even got a little paint on his belly?Reuben making sure that he's quick, but that the paint covers all the white of the egg!

Here's where it gets really messy..... notice that Grandma encouraged this by printing his name on his chest?
But Mom, it's soooo fun!
Reuben thought, hey I want to try that too, it looks fun!
Okay, so I had to write his name on him too!!
Oh the things that Grandma gets to encourage are so fun. The boys had a great time. After their baths we realized that the pink stained their skin :) good thing the weather's still cold and they have to wear their shirts.... what would Daddy say? shhhhhh

Easter Sunday with the cousins!

A picture worth a thousand words and a boat load of chocolate!!! Oh what fun the kids had searching for more then 100 of these treat filled delights. Aunt Marcy and Aunt Lisa filled them with lots of yummy treats!

Sharing a tasty morsal with Andrew.

Julianna seems to be licking her lips, to my knowledge she didn't have any chocolate, but this picture would indicate otherwise :)

We did however give her one to play with!

Justin and Mason looking for the eggs, notice how huge Mason's basket is!

Jordan and Reuben counting their loot!! 20 each, right guys?

Alex is thinking, "YES, I scored, I better stay away from all those boys!"

There's Mason again with a Basket FULL.

The kids had so much fun together. The hunt went really well this year. Everyone had a equal size loot. We don't want the little monkeys to miss out cause the 'bigkids' find them all first. Plus it was indoors this year, thanks to all the snow.... so we had to make a few adjustments to the 'rules', everyone had so much fun, finding and especially eating their treats. What a great day. Although we did miss Mom and Dad and Jerry & Lynn and the kids (who spent Easter together in Grand Rapids). We did have a wonderful day together.

Early Easter Eggs

Today, Justin and Andrew came over for supper. Yesterday was Uncle Rob's Birthday and so Daddy was so lucky and got to go with Uncle Rob to Toronto to see a Toronto Rock Lacross game, Fun for them!! So the Mommies and the kidies decided to get together and begin the Easter 'celebrations' a little early! The boys had so much fun coloring the eggs, although Mommy and Aunt Lisa didn't get the mixture exact and so the color stayed on but was a little funky... ops!! We still had fun creating!!

Everyone's waiting patiently for their eggs to soak up the color!

How does this look Mom?

Mason is consentrating, but he's not the only one - notice Julianna trying to pick up something off her tray?

We had a good night and so did Uncle Rob, 30 years.... congrats, we Love you!!!

And I'm OFF

Well progress is being made in the Hill household these days.... I'm not sure I'm ready for this but I don't have much of a choice. Julianna decided she is tired of sitting nicely and playing with her toys, instead she is ON THE MOVE!!! She is crawling around the house like nobody's business. She's into the boys toys and will not give up until she reaches her goal! Time for Mommy to clean up and 'baby' proof again. It's mostly Reuben & Mason's toys that need to be sorted through to get rid of marbles and pennies, 'treasures' as they refer to them as! I guess I know what's in store for me in the next day or two!!

She is such a funny girl, she consentrates so hard on the task, and again it's all about the tongue!! She bites down on her tongue and rocks back and forth on her knees and suddenly..... SHE'S OFF!!

Photo Shoot

At Coffee Break in Ancaster, we always take a 3 week "BREAK" from the regular Bible study and do some 'winterworkshops' as we like to call them. This year I choose to take a 3 week course on Photography. There's SOO much to learn. I've been trying to get into Mohawk for a day course. I just want to get better, I love taking the pictures and have been REALLY frustrated with this 'new' camera I got because I can't seem to take "GREAT" pictures... anyway!! So I've been doing some practicing and it's been working out okay. This particular shoot was a "JULIANNA" shoot. I think there are some really cute shots, of course it's pretty easy when the subject is so CUTE!! Although, she didn't want to sit very still... take a look:

A very serious photo shoot it was, couldn't get even ONE smile from the little lady. Guess she wasn't really in the mood, or maybe it was all the girls behind me trying desperately to get her to smile?

The Big, Little # 16!

Last weekend we had a priviledge of going to Copps to watch a Hamilton Bulldogs game. The highlight of the game for us was the Timbits Hockey game between periods. Our cousin Jordan's Timbit Hockey team from Hagersville, took to the ice and showed their magic!! Jordan had his own fan club of over 20 people cheering him on. The fans came from far (Grand Rapids, Michigan) and near - well - all of us were there, even Taunte Alice and the DeMik clan came to cheer and of course it was SOOO cute. Reuben and Mason were super excited!! Here's snapshot of our night in the stands.

Reuben with the noise makers, boy could he make noise!

Here's the superstar in action....

Mason was actually VERY interested in both games. He watched that puck like a hawk and was a real trouper even though it got very late!!

Let it snow, let it snow, let it snow.....

Wow we sure have had a TON of snow this winter. I'm a little tired of the white stuff myself but, the boys have had sooooo much fun in it!! The amount of time they have spend outside just building forts, building snowmen, shovelling off their 'ice rink' in the back yard and of course the best part of winter, THE TOBOGANNING.... what great fun. Mason isn't as big of an outdoorsman as Reuben is but Sunday they both had a GREAT time. It was the perfect toboganning weather, a little warmer and no wind!!

The first run of the day always feels awesome!

Mason is starting to get the hang of the GT, but I still caution any one on the hill or at the bottom.... watch oooouuuut....

Honestly look at that face - total enjoyment!

What a handsome man this is on his GT ready for a race!

Logan came with us too - he likes going down on his tummy!!!

It's too heavy Mom, stop taking pictures and help me get this to the top of the hill.

Time to relax and.... eat a little snow..... as long as it isn't yellow I guess!
