The return to blogging with a Celebration

I've been thinking a lot about returning to this blog and 'reviving' it. It's hard to believe it has been almost 2 years since I have written. Wow, a lot has happened in two years... but we'll save that for another day.

January 30, 1941 was a special day. The day Grandpa and Grandma Assies welcomed their first daughter into this world. And Januay 30, 2011 we were priviledged to celebrate 70 years with Tante Alice. It was a wonderful day, full of laughter, memories, food and even toboganning.

I was unable to get a photo of the birthday girl looking at me so this will have to do, Happy 70th Tante Alice, we love you!

Off to the golf course we all went for an afternoon of fun. It was the perfect day for toboganning, the sun was shining and the hills were fast!

Reuben, just before he fell through the ice that he is sitting on in this picture, too bad I didn't get a photo of that. Clothes in the dryer and back out in 40 minutes, he didn't want to miss out on any of the action.
